Cally's memorial tribute to her grandad -read at his funeral 22nd April 2011

We can’t believe the day has come And you are no longer here We don’t know what we’ll do without you We’re so used to having you near You were our granddad Such an intelligent man The man that made it possible To do everything we can We remember the holidays The sun and the sand I wish you were here granddad To hold my hand You had 2 amazing daughters Who will love you forever You had 5 grandchildren That for you would do whatever We will remember you For so many things For your sausage fingers And your gold ring The smell of Melrose Will never fade As everyone in your family Uses it, especially Jade I remember the toothpaste How could we forget You should never squeeze from the middle Or you will regret We know that you will watch over us And make sure that we are happy I promise that I will think of you Especially the day I marry You will always be a man that we looked up to You will always be that man That broke Barneys tooth with that chew If we could have a wish It would be to have your charm You were honest and loyal A man that would never harm Thank you for the memories We just wish you had more time You will always be remembered You were amazing, a real dime.
